Saya sudah pasang NGV pada kembara saya hampir sebulan. Malangnya hingga kini saya tak dapat nak enjoy pemanduan dengan NGV kereta asyik mati saja. Sudah 4 kali hantar ke bengkel tempat pemasangan hasilnya sama.
Yang pasti setiap kali hantar dia org lanyak kereta ratusan KM.
a) Masa pemasangan - tak monitor KM ( Tapi dapat kereta kotor macam masuk estet getah je).
b) Kali kedua - dia org lanyak 329 KM
c) Kali ketiga - dia org lanyak 450 KM.
d) Kali keempat - saya tunggu
e) Kali kelima - saya tunggu
f) Sabtu ni 11/11/2006 - buat temujanji lagi.....
Apa yang berlaku - masa dibengel test okey. Bila balik rumah esoknya asyik mati memanjang.
Cuba telefon beberapa bengkel - malang mereka tak mahu service jika tak pasang dengan mereka.
Inilah gara-gara saya tak siasat quality bengkel - cuma pilih yang termurah.
SOS - komen dan bantuan anda dihargai. p/s Jangan tanya gedget apa yang dipasang....saya tau pandu saja...he he.

Dear Azmi & Ajak,
Kembara tuning can be resolved with a stable idling and reasonable power during pickup. However so, it will operate on a higher gas consumption level.
In our opinion, it is best that kembara should avoid Mixer system as performance is limited. It is better to use Sequential Injection System, but it will cost as much as the car.drx

Maafkan saya !, saya tak dapat nak beri apa-apa nasihat kepada saudara kerana saya tidak lagi menggunakan NGV atas sebab-sebab keselamatan keluarga due to kereta tu asyik mati2 je. Walaupun peralatan NGV masih terpasang. Saya hanya guna NGV masa saya tunggu utk ambil anak saya dari kelas tambahan. Kereta tak jalan cuma kena tekan minyak saja.Org sekeliling pandang semacam saja mungkin mereka sangka banyak duit...minyak mahal tapi masih press minyak :) |

I think the mechanic has done it - base on this assumption: -
a) I saw some sealant has been applied to that particular area/ surface. (Previously none)

To boost up my wife’s confidence level to drive using NGV. For the past few weeks she has found it a serious nightmare to use NGV, and her confidence level has dropped from zero to negative.
With that in mind, I am thinking of proceeding to the qualified installer to overcome all the issues. I don’t mind paying any reasonable charge in order to gain back my wife’s confidence level towards NGV.
After this coming Saturday (my appointment with the installer), regardless as to whether the problem will be solved or not, I think I still need to seek your professional help in order to boost up my wife’s confidence in using NGV. I am going to send email to admin soon on this matter and will bring my wife to see the professional concerned.
If this task fails (to boost up her confidence level), I will be left with no choice but to drive the Kembara. By taking this alternative I would not be gaining much benefit in terms of savings since my traveling distance is only 25% compare to her.

salam azmi, saya terlewat jumpa forum ni semasa pasang ngv pada kembara 1.3 auto, banyak masalah timbul selepas pemasangan, 5 kali pergi tuning tak selesai masalah, installer suggest convert to sequential! kena tamabah RM2000 lagi! biar betul! ape perlu saya buat? |

Oktober 1996 - Beli kereta Nissan Sunny tahun 1984. Masa itu tak mampu hendak beli kereta tapi terpaksa beli di atas nasihat doktor untuk dapat anak.
April 2005 - Dari kereta Nissan Sunny kepada Kancil 660 tahun 1997. Kereta Nissan Sunny terlalu uzur. Isteri dapat kerja jauh dari rumah. Tukar kereta kerana faktor keselamatan.
Ogos 2006 - Setelah tahu tempat pemasangan ngv kawasan utara. Tukar kepada Rusa 1.3GX tahun 1996. Inginkan kenderaan yang lebih besar untuk keselesaan 4 orang anak. Kesian anak tidur tempat kaki kereta kancil. Hendak beli kereta baru tidak mampu dan tanggung pertambahan kos petrol rusa 1 1/2 kali kancil.
Masalah. Tunning rusa tidak ok untuk petrol. tukar kaburator, coil. setiap bulan masuk wad. biasanya sampai seminggu dok wad. bulan-bulan RM200 - RM400 untuk perbaiki benda yang sama.
Install mula RM3500. Pergi balik isi gas - 60 km. so guna 100km sahaja.
tong kedua RM1750 - Dapat jarak perjalanan 320km. jimat la perjalan ke prai.
Sept 2007 - Beli kereta kedua Myvi 1.3 baru setelah isteri boleh buat pinjaman Faktor utama beli Myvi sebab rusa selalu masuk wad. Patah kaki untuk pergi kerja.
Dis 2007 - Jual Rusa setelah sebulan pakai petrol. Beli Wira 1.3 kaburator tahun 1995. kos RM500 - RM1000 untuk pindahkan set ngv ke wira tapi saya jual set ngv ( 2 tong) pada harga RM1500. Tidak yakin dengan penggunaan ngv lagi.
29 Mei 2008 - Install semula ngv ke Wira. kos RM3200 setelah tidak tahan dengan penggunaan petrol. Alhamdulillah tiada masalah sampai kini. Kereta Myvi simpan. guna hanya jika ada urusan yang tidak boleh ambil dan hantar isteri.
Kos isteri pergi balik kerja guna Myvi RM5.95 sehari.
Hantar dan ambil isteri jalan yang berbeza RM 4.20 ( ngv )

Yes, I would like to sell off my gadget but :) without dismantling it. :) You know what I mean. When? Just waiting for my new car to arrive. I’ve booked it 4 months ago but there’s still no news.
The price!
The price will be determined by the current market value at the time when I get my new car and without additional cost to the NGV gadget. I might consider swapping the registration number.

azmi3388, sorry to know that u have quit ngv. maybe to reduce lost, u should find out if u could reregister for petrol use only and get the rebate rm625. good luck. would u be interested to sell your set? |

Registered member is allowed to suggest the potential NGV installer provided they could prove of installation and the ownership of the car.

Just my view. Think some of the KPi that should be included are
1) One stop service center
2) Standard installation method use as mention in the basic 101 ( tank brackets / tubing)
3) After sale service support given ( tuning service / system breakdown)
4) number of complaints / claims (not sure how to get this data base , maybe NGV user need to feedback)
5) General Qualty of work ( like housekeeping / neatness / car friendly )
6) Customer friendly ( additional training to new user / explaination on system)
7) any certicifation (?????? )

Owner of workshop must agree to their own client's review and forumer's posting in this forum.
Warrenty information and after sales service standard
Star ranking is grade based on equipment quality plus service standard.

That is a very good idea as many now are force to take up public transport or go to NGV. The community should just list those workshop that are considered ok base on the site visit,workmanship and customer complaint without actually giving a recommandation. Newbie will have some giude than just stumble in the dark. Like when we surf for hotel on the web. Some are 5 star and some are 3 star. The customer will make his own choice. |

Thanks for your kind advice and reply, it is a very important advice and honest as most INSTALLER wont want to tune or fix other INSTALLER's ****! So beware my fellows members forumers to ensure never to rush into any INSTALLER and have your NGV installed.
This forum cant help us much as they cant recomend any installer and also will not allow forumers review who are competent and who are not.
In this situation, I hope committee of this forum would have a few senior members to guide newbies like me in our search for NGV Installer whom we can trust.

I am very sorry for the delay in answering your email.
A) Tseng, Fusilad7/Vijay, Geoffreylee.
The workshops in your lists are not the one that installed my car.
But please forgive me – I do not wish to recommend any workshop to any of you. This is because I still believe that NGV is a sole proprietor, in other words once you’re trapped you will be trapped forever because none of the other workshops would be willing to rectify the works from a different workshop. I hope I am wrong. This is solely based on my past experience.
Just to get them to do some minor tuning to the system has turned out to be a problem let alone rectifying works.
Based on my past experience – I have visited/called almost all NGV workshop in Klang Valley, but most of them were reluctant to accept my car for tuning.
Out of them only two workshops were willing to help me. I shall refer to them as NGV1 and NGV2
NGV1 – was very helpfully and his name has appeared in most emails sent to me.
NGV2 – was reluctant to help and was only willing to do so after I told them that “The xxxx was done by XXXXX”.
But NGV2 placed the condition on me: “Should anything happen they are not to be blamed”.
B) XXXXXXXX (I suppressed the ID) – you questions are a bit tricky,
I am reluctant to answer them.

So sorry to hear about your experience with NGV installer. I am also one of the new comer to NGV and planning to install the system for my Perdana SEI.
I hope you can help to email me a few recomended installer via email of course as it is very difficult for newbies to indentify a bad installer.

Haiqal, dyfw – Thanks for the advice/suggestion. I have already decided to write off the issue.
I don’t intend to pursue it any further, my objective as per now is to ensure any newcomer will not have to endure the same bad experience as I’ve had with that particular installer.
I realize that by taking this step I am going to lose additional RM625/= per year.
Kitkatlow – If you have really visited all three workshops that you mentioned in your email to me, I am sure that you are NOT going to choose the one that I meant.

Do not feel gultier to claim back yr money. Just go back to the installler give them 2 choice, either dcorrective action to yr car or refund yr installation fees + yr time consume during rectifying yr problem + petrol money go & back to their w/shop + petrol & gas consume during stupid tuning. With proper record (i believed just print these thread and bring over to Tribunal as a proved) sure can get. I was experienced before but different situations...

Yeap agreed. If they cant get it done. Go get a refund through Tribunal.It is unfair to the public if they install a product that is useless and get paid to do a lousy job. |

Since you have problem with the installation by the installer, why not ask for refund since they can not give you a good job? Sorry to say, if you keep on wasting time go to them for rectifying those stupid problem due to their worst workmanship...you are entitle to claim back yr money. If they refuse just go to JABATAN HAL EHWAL PENGGUNA-confirm can refund! provided all receipt still available..
