I actually do not know much about the system, this is a brief info

Type of system and brand
==> Sequencer, not too sure about the brand though, but from "Nice".
Type of tank and size
==> Half fiber I think, the boss told me 100L tank
TAP Brand
==> Not sure
Price
==> RM6200 (May be more due to 100L tank)

I am in the queue until end of July, so will know better by then...can share more info about the maintenance (car and NGV system)?

I am actually not too sure if it can fit 100L tank because I have never seen the tank before, it was the installer who told me can fit in 100L as he said the 100L tank is bigger in diameters and shorter (probably not the the fiber type?), so, let's see, if can not, then 77L is still better then a smaller one...

I think camry can load in 100L tank as the boot is higher then my Cefiro. mine only 70L. not high enough.
If Nice quote you RM 6,200, with 100L that's consider good deal as last time they quote me Rm 7,500 with 70L tank. but eventually i go to hijau.

Nice qouted you a very good price which included a 100L tank, is the a sequential system he quoted to you, i'm not sure if this is true, i heard camry can only fit in 70L tank only from my installer, if can, i also want to install a 100L tank in my camry also... xD

I am not too sure yet, but the installer already ordered the 100L tank for me, so next week will install, let's see... I have seen the tank before, it can fit into the back of "Harrier", not the fiber type, it was fatter and shorter than the fiber type.
I have forgotten the shop name, it is in Juru, I just know that they are rep for "Nice".

bro, it's a deal of the century but again, beware, you could have heard wrongly or he quoted u wrongly.

Ensure it's sequential and 100L, not 70L. Even at 70L still quite a deal

This is key word....maybe more....I remember initially price quoted by NICE in juru always come with 58L cylinder. You better check properly, 58L to 100L might need extra 1K ++...

I think the juru installer is mostly using REG OMVL kit.A friend of mine just recently installed NGV on his new Chevrolete Optra 1.6 at that workshop and the sequential kit is REG OMVL.

I feel REG OMVL is a good kit. Managed to test drive my friend's car and pickup on gas seems to be the same as petrol.

Carszone, I think we don't have any problem converting Camry 2008 but the main issue is the warranty.....new Toyota comes with 3 years warranty and am sure your warranty will void if you install NGV.

that's what happened to me initially. was waiting for the new
BLM to be delivered after months of waiting....then a few days
later petrol price increased...no choice but to go for ngv conversion.

gave serious thought to convert the new BLM to ngv but definitely
cannot becoz i'm violating the terms and conditions of the new car warranty...its that simple

by the time i had converted my Gen 2, then only Proton announced
their upcoming ngv cars...what to do...no luck

oly,

You consider lucky..
1st you save money from changing to BLM (Go back to Basic)
2nd you save money on petrom now and have a better car than BLM
3rd that car may not be better than yours now..

you have to take note on your Campro engine (valve problem may happen in future). Not i say, expert says.

Hi all,
Here I am coming back share some info with you about the NGV installation in my Camry 2005.
1) I provied wrong info about the pricing. The $6100 is for 55L tank, I upgraded to 100L tank, the shop charged my rm7.6k. Compared to the other shop (that moved to Juru recently) priced at >rm8k, I think it is ok, as there is no other alternative (that I knew off) too. The 100L tank fix very nicely into the boot area (how to share photo in this forum?), the workmanship was excellent.
2) In the sequencer system, the car will start with Petrol, once the RPM go pass 2k, it will switch to Gas automatically. During switching, feel the car to be a less power compared to Petrol mode, but the engine noise reduce and more quiet.
3) In the 1st tank, the Gas was filled by the shop, went down until last LED light on (there are 4 LED lights), the mileage was 160km. Went to Bukit Minyak to top-up Gas, rm11.78 (but I did not know the pressure), drove for 1 day, went here and there, morning traffic jam at the bridge as usual, mileage at 130km, left 2 LED lights on, at 9.25pm, top-up Gas again, rm7.80.
4) After installing 100L tank, the car become very heavy (82+ kg), the original suspension is too soft to handle the weight especially when there are passengers at the back, any suggestion from members on what need to be done on the suspension?

JPK, will it sacrifice the comfort if putting in the sport absorber? How much is the cost for both semi-adjustable and sport types?

Yesterday when I went to pick up my Wira at N*c* Juru, I saw 1 Camry owner (I think it's 2005 model because it's not the latest design) also came to pickup his car. I don't know the details of the car but it could be similar to mine; REG sequential + 65L tank.

i have a 70L semi fibre tank. The rear sank abt 1.5". Tried looking for heavy duty type of springs without success. In the end, got a 3" rubber bush installed (the original one was 1"). Now my back tyre clearance back to normal.

Monster, even when the back tyre clearance back to noral, but do you feel the absorber still very springy and soft?

Purple, my camry was collected last friday, I was told that there were 3 more in the q, mine was the 9th camry the shop had isntalled with NGV.

So far other than soft and low absorber, and a little bit of jerk sometimes (for example, when driving at 80km/h, released the fuel pedal will feel the jerk, but not everytime, probably tuning optimization needed), I am quite happy with the ride though a little bit sluggish due to additional weight, need to press the pedal a bit more.
